Blood Orange Mojito

Description

Citrusy blood orange and refreshing mint come together in this blood orange mojito. It is the perfect drink for any occasion, and easy to make with only six ingredients!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 mint leaves (more for garnishing)
  • 1/2 lime, cut into four wedges
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 ounces white rum
  • 1/2 blood orange, juiced 
  • Soda water for topping off (I like Topo Chico)

Instructions

  1. Place mint leaves and two lime wedges in a glass. Muddle the mint leaves with the lime wedges so the mint oils release.
  2. Add the two remaining lime wedges and sugar to the glass and muddle them together with the mint.
  3. Fill the glass 3/4th of the way full with ice.
  4. Pour the rum and blood orange juice over top and stir to combine.
  5. Top off the drink with club soda, and garnish with lime wedges and mint.
