Trader Joe's is a vegan's paradise! Here are my favorite savory vegan Trader Joe's products to add to your shopping list.
Trader Joe's is probably one of the most beloved grocery stores out there. The happy Hawaiian vibes when you walk through the sliding doors, the always friendly workers, and the thrill of hunting for new products on the shelves. What is not to love? Another thing to love... the selection of vegan Trader Joe's products!
Trader Joes continually adds to its already incredible list of vegan offerings. There are vegan staples just waiting to be tried at Trader Joe's. From prepared food to frozen food and everything in between, Trader Joe's is sure to have something you love!
Vegan Trader Joe's Shopping List
Today I am highlighting five of my favorite savory Trader Joe's products. If these five things aren't on your shopping list, they are must-adds! For a full vegan Trader Joe's shopping list, I highly recommend checking out the Trader Joe's blog. They have a full overview of every single product that is vegan at Trader Joe's.
Miso Instant Ramen Soup
This miso soup is super convenient if you need something to eat in a pinch. I bring these in my suitcase when I go on a trip just in case I go somewhere one night with no vegan options. Trader Joe's offers a classic version and a spicy version for those wanting a little heat.
Chicken-Less Mandarin Orange Morsels
If you crave Asian cuisine as much as I do, then the chicken-less mandarin orange morsels need to be added to your shopping list! They are crispy on the outside and taste like what I remember chicken tasting like. The sauce packet comes with more than enough sauce to mix in with some rice, and you have yourself another quick and easy meal! I wouldn't have these every week because there is a good amount of sodium and sugar (670mg of sodium and 16g of sugar), but they are nice to have now and then.
Jackfruit Cakes
Trader Joe's added jackfruit cakes to their vegan lineup in early 2019, and they generated a lot of hype. They have a crispy outside and "meaty" texture on the inside. They aren't necessarily "fishy" tasting like your typical crab cakes, but they are still quite yummy! Depending on the vibe I am going for, I either make a lemon dill aioli or a spicy mayo to dip the jackfruit cakes.
Thai Vegetable Gyoza
These gyozas have been a longtime favorite of mine even before I went vegan. They are another fantastic item to have on hand when you want something delicious but don't have the energy to whip something up. Pro tip - heat these babies up in a toaster oven for a perfectly crispy outside.
Soy Chorizo
Trader Joe's soy chorizo is by far the best soyrizo I've tried. It crisps up nicely when you cook it on the stove, whereas I've tried some brands that remain mushy. Soy chorizo is excellent on its own, on tacos or a breakfast hash - a must-have refrigerator staple in my option. I always have one of these in my freezer!
